Carisaprodol - Tablets are available as 250 mg and 350 mg round, white tablets. Carisaprodol is a white, crystalline powder, having a mild, characteristic odor and a bitter taste. It is slightly soluble in water; freely soluble in alcohol, in chloroform, and in acetone; and its solubility is practically independent of pH. Carisaprodol is present as a racemic mixture. Carisaprodol comes as a tablet to be taken by mouth.
Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Always make sure that you take carisaprodol exactly as directed.
It is usually taken three times daily and at bedtime. It may be taken with or without food.
Take each dose with a full glass of water.
The maximum amount of carisaprodol you should take in one day is 1,400 mg (4 tablets).

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule.
Never take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
